Martyn Ryder is the founder and CEO of Ryder International Ltd, the parent company of both The Solid Wood Flooring Company and Impervia. In 2018, Martyn led the development and launch of the Impervia brand, creating a new generation of luxury vinyl flooring designed to meet the highest standards of performance and design.

With over 22 years of experience in the flooring industry and a background in engineering, Martyn has built a reputation for combining technical rigour with innovative design. Under his leadership, Impervia has become a trusted solution for architects, developers, and designers looking for a premium LVT product that blends style, practicality, and reliability.

He was directly involved in sourcing the product, setting up the first rounds of product and quality control checks, and defining the brand’s initial colour and finish range, inspired by the most popular wood flooring styles. The name Impervia was chosen from the word impervious, reflecting the flooring’s fully waterproof construction and durability.
