Impervia is perfect for kitchens and utility rooms and if you get a flood you do not have to worry about the floor. We have tested it over a period of 10 months where it was left outside on a gravel drive all the way through the winter and hot spring in 2020. The climatic conditions had no effect on Impervia. Because of our manufacturing process the repeat pattern in our herringbone is more than 14 to 1 which means it really does look like real wood. The textured surface is quite unique in that it generally follows the grain.
The size of the herringbone is 128mm wide x 615 x 6.5mm thick. It has a micro bevel, just like real wood and come in finishes that are near or match our natural timber floors. There are 13 left hand pieces and 13 right hand pieces in a carton.
Installation of Impervia Herringbone Flooring
Herringbone parquet by Impervia has the latest best push fit system there is. It is the Valinge 5Gi system for which we have a licence. You can see some videos of how to fit on the web site below. The images below are extracts form the video.
When opening a carton, you lay out the left hand on one side and the right hand on another and start as above. See a video here:

Impervia herringbone is the perfect solution for any application and it can be fitted right up to existing skirting boards or walls due to nature of its constructions.
Layout by separating the left and right-handed pieces. Call the left-hand side “A” and the right-handed side “B”. The image below is one of the “A” piece.
Start laying at the bottom left-hand corner of the room with your “A” piece and then follow on with “B” as per the video.
