Impervia® Herringbone Light Fumed Kensington Oak offers the authentic look of brushed European oak with the practicality of modern rigid core flooring. Its mineral-based magnesium oxide (MGO) core is reinforced with fibreglass for added strength, stability, and durability.

Designed for everyday living, this floor is waterproof, fire resistant, dent resistant, mould resistant, and highly stable under changing conditions. The built-in waterproof IXPE backing means no underlay is needed, making installation quicker and easier.

With its realistic 14:1 repeat pattern, Impervia® Herringbone creates a more natural parquet effect than many alternative herringbone floors. The Valinge 5Gi push-fit system also makes it a practical choice for DIY installation, and it can be fitted over most existing subfloors, including wood, stone, and ceramic tiles.

Each plank measures 615mm x 128mm x 6.5mm, with 26 pieces per carton – including 13 left-handed and 13 right-handed planks – covering 2.046m² per box.

Do not try to fit Impervia herringbone in the same way as traditional timber tongue-and-groove herringbone. For a successful and straightforward installation, all steps shown in the video should be followed carefully. Using any other method can make fitting much more difficult, particularly when installing the end pieces.

Please note that A boards are left-handed and B boards are right-handed.

How to Fit Impervia Herringbone

When clicking in place make sure you use a rubber headed or plastic headed mallet to tap the corner in place as you would the planks.
