How to photograph
your project

You’ve dedicated a lot of time making your project look amazing, so it’s worth taking great photos of it. Here’s a few simple tips to make sure you get the best photos of your newly fitted flooring.

Not a fan of photos?
Why not try a time lapse of you fitting your floor? These always look great and are a reminder of all the hard work you did! Filming a walkthrough on your phone is another great way to show off the flooring.

Photograph the room

We are big fans of floors, but would prefer to see the whole room.  Even better would be a before and after photo with furniture all in place.

Use natural light

Keep the lights turned off for all interior photos. This helps to create a natural feel and an even light temperature, meaning better photos. Having interior lights on also creates all sorts of unwanted shadows, so open the curtains and pull up the blinds, your photos will be better for it.

Keep things level

If you’re struggling to find a nice angle to photograph your room, follow one simple tip. Point your camera directly at one wall and make sure all of your lines are good and level. You can be as creative as you like but sometimes the classics are best.
