Natural Oak Installed In London Home

Recently fitted into a house in London, the pictures show how Impervia IMP-HB-9005-1 Natural oak can be fitted onto stairs. This was carried out by a very experienced fitter, leaving a clan crisp edge to the stairs with no edging required, although the Impervia range does have complimentary square edging in its range. On this project the Architect wanted engineered herringbone oak throughout the property, but as the hall gets so much traffic, the Impervia was chosen due to its hardwearing, waterproof surface. The IMP-HB-9005-1 natural oak matches perfectly with the engineered herringbone used in the rest of the property TW-E924 YSJ with only a door transition strip, sourced elsewhere, separating the two. ‍For more information or samples please contact us at……

This case study reviews an Impervia herringbone fitout throughout a family home with the herringbone planks clad to the stairs to keep the flow of the pattern.

Client: Private homeowner, London

The natural oak Impervia herringbone has undeniably earned its status as a fan favorite in the realm of our Impervia range, largely owing to its striking resemblance to our engineered wood flooring, all at a fraction of the cost. The pictures show how we utilized this product and integrated it into a cosy townhouse situated in the heart of London. As you can see, the natural oak tone, evident in the accompanying images, proved to be an ideal color tone, subtly enhancing the surrounding property features without overshadowing the overall design scheme. The herringbone pattern also added a sense of space and dimension to a room. The diagonal lines of the pattern visually helped to expand smaller space within the home and created an illusion of length, making it an excellent choice for enhancing the overall atmosphere.

The main challenge we faced during this project was to keep the pattern running up the staircase with elegant cohesion. The challenge, however, proved to only be short lived as we were able to precisely cut the Impervia in line with the stairs and clad each piece onto each step with a strong adhesive. We went out of our way to make this product work for our client and to this day, the staircase has performed to an exceptional standard. Luckily enough, we have a specialist in this industry who we have worked with closely for years and were able to call to assist with this task. Bardhyl, is an expert in the flooring field and is able to overcome specific needs for our clients with ease. We are fortunate enough to be able to recommend him to all of our projects within London and are never in doubt that he will go the extra mile to ensure that the job is done to an immaculate standard.

The clients also mentioned during the ordering process that they are outgoing and tend to host a lot of soirées throughout the year. We immediately took this into account and recommended the Impervia range as the product is one of the best (if not the best) in the market for combatting various spillages. After all, a house which is susceptible to high traffic needs a suitable flooring to partner alongside easy upkeep! Another factor as to why the natural oak Impervia was chosen is due to the fact our clients were planning to fit our engineered wood herringbone in other areas of the home. The like-for-likeness of Impervia natural oak and engineered wood meant that they blend together perfectly to create a uniform appearance, with the two products only being separated with a door transition strip sourced elsewhere.

For those considering this exceptional product for their upcoming projects, be it in a residential setting or a commercial space with anticipated high traffic, we invite you to reach out to us via telephone or effortlessly order samples directly through our user-friendly form. Elevate your space with the perfect blend of aesthetic and practical functionality.
