Bespoke Kitchens: Quality Flooring for Quality Craftmanship

The Wood Works approached us looking for flooring to compliment their amazing bespoke kitchens. The flooring had to echo the quality of their products and services whilst being easy to maintain. A water-proof and fire-resistant product was ideal given the setting the flooring would be used in. Our Impervia herringbone parquet was a brilliant solution for them. Not only is Impervia far more simple to lay than wooden alternatives but also more cost-effective. This doesn’t diminish the quality, as Impervia comes with a commercial-grade ceramic lacquer finish that is able to resist impacts and spillages normally associated in a kitchen environment.

Client: The Wood Works, Mill Hill, London

When The Wood Works approached us for flooring, the brief was simple: they needed a high-quality product that would perform well enough to be fitted alongside their beautifully crafted bespoke kitchens, and easy enough to maintain in an area of the home that bears the brunt of family life. Our Impervia Cobble Grey Herringbone was the perfect solution, combining the design-led aesthetic of a parquet floor with the performance-led properties of our Impervia range.

Impervia out-performs traditional wood flooring and other competing LVT brands in numerous arenas, but most notably it is far more cost effective and far easier to install than wooden alternatives, where either adhesive or underlay are required to complete the job. With Impervia’s innovative 5G-i push-fit technology, as well as its built-in acoustic underlay, it reduces not only the bottom line of your invoice but also the time required to install. Equally, its rigid core creates a more high-end luxury feel to fitting your kitchen with Impervia, and the product looks and feels far more like real wood than a roll-out vinyl or two-dimensional laminate.

Waterproof, scratch and dent resistant and perfect for underfloor heating, Impervia is used extensively across the UK by industry experts who require flawless, faultless products that will create beautiful homes for their end clients. This is exactly what The Wood Works has come to expect from partnering with us, and simply no other product comes as close to mimicking a real wood floor whilst also meeting their expectations in terms of performance. Finished in our own factories, the ceramic lacquer applied to each board is finished with the same brushing techniques used on the natural wood products from our sister brand The Solid Wood Flooring Company, meaning that Impervia feels – to the touch – very much like a natural wooden floor.

The Wood Works have since used a variety of Impervia floors in their new showroom in Ascot. Many of their clients have also chosen to have Impervia in their new state-of-the-art hand-crafted kitchens. This highlights that Impervia sits well as a waterproof option for your kitchen floor.
